The running river of red by Caleb

By Caleb

Week Two:
This week we are focusing on writing a detailed setting description.
These are ideas that we want to use give a really strong description:
  • Looks, smells, sounds, How it feels to be there? What time of the day is it?
  • The Date or time of year, What the weather is like?
  • What’s happening at that moment?

9:30am 4th of July 1989 The volcano decided to burst. The volcano bursting in anger and hate was as angry as a bull getting woken up from his late night’s sleep. Black clouds lurching over the volcano pollute the sky worse than a factory's smoke. The flames as hot as the blazing vast sun and the smoke blacker than sneaky and sly slinky malinky. The mountains and trees hotter than a blue flame and burning faster than a cheetah runs. The trees burning to ash and cinder are slowly dying ready to say goodbye. The lightning flashing brighter than the afternoon sun and when it strikes the volcano gets hotter and more filled with hate. The volcano is starting to burst with lava and ash and cinder blacker than an inside of a chimney. It smells like burning meat and the inside of an 100 year old chimney and smells like a fire burning trees and polluting the air. It feels angry and is filled with hate and disgrace because it was meant to be an amazing day today and he only likes rainy days and cloudy awful days. The clouds are forming into an enormous mysterious shape gliding over the volcano looking as fluffy as cotton candy lying on a pure white cloud. It sounds like a cat squealing.
